A storyboard is a comic strip drawn by user groups to document the stages of their experience. The exercise usually includes thought and speech bubbles to communicate what the user was thinking and feeling throughout the experience. Each image is followed with a brief description, and may also include ideas for how each stage could be improved in the future. We use storyboards to gain insight into an experience from the user’s perspective in a uniquely emotional, powerful way, and to help identify gaps and opportunities.
