Donna is a visionary agent with the ability to inspire and develop cohesive teams to improve care delivery systems. Her 27-year career in nursing was inspired by experiencing first-hand the difference kindness, compassion, and a holistic view of patient care makes when caring for family members in a healthcare setting. Donna is passionate about redesigning processes that improve quality outcomes and patient and family-centered care. An innovative thinker, she is proficient at building collaborative relationships, communicating effectively, applying Lean principles, and deploying strategic change management. Before joining Blue Cottage, Donna was Site Administrator and Chief Nursing Officer at Martin Medical Center and Assistant Vice President, Clinical Practice at Martin Health System. She also held administrative, education, and clinical positions at Carteret Health Care and the Washington Hospital Center. Donna received her Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at George Mason University. She is currently seeking her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Central Florida. Donna is a Fellow in the American College Healthcare Executives, and is board certified as a Nurse Executive by the American Nursing Credentialing Center.
