In a clinical lead role, you will work as an integral member of a project consulting team to deliver uncommon performance with demonstrative passion for creating simplicity where there is unnecessary and unproductive complexity in hospitals and healthcare. You will be expected to engage deeply and produce measurable results for the firm and for the clients we serve. This is not just an advisory role where you just sprinkle wisdom – you must be capable of planning and leading the work, producing and presenting results and providing good background research with passion and authority. A deep understanding in operations, patient flow and healthcare staffing are essential to provide value to our clients. If you have consulting experience, that is a definite plus. A focused interest in ambulatory care, emergency care, and interventional platforms are critical to current work requested. You should have active clinical credentials – our clients love to see that we stay on top of our industry trends and requirements.
You possess significant healthcare operations or clinical experience, supported by a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a master’s degree in health policy, business administration, industrial engineering/operations research with additional training in quality improvement and Lean. You have recent and related experience with progressively increasing responsibilities, preferably with direct involvement in Lean process-based design projects. The ideal candidate has experience working in a healthcare environment. Your broad knowledge of the business process engineering principles, practices, and methods affecting an organization are matched by demonstrated analytical problem solving and superior oral and written communication skills.

If you are a “by the book” person who likes to have a lot of information, can only move forward with all the data in hand, or who hates ambiguity, this is NOT the job for you. You must be a leader and an influencer to be considered for this position. We are looking for people who see the big picture, well beyond a single project or a single client. We want people who read healthcare blogs for fun, who can’t tolerate the inefficiency of TSA at the airport and stand there thinking about all the ways it could be improved – people who are innovative and flexible, and who aren’t wedded to one way (the “right” way) to apply Lean or any other tool. If you love to travel (like every week) and you love creative problem-solving in a fun, team-oriented environment, this may be the job for you.
